Theming on the web
Don’t ship two image files to the browser. Render the black cut once and let the theme invert it — pixel-identical to the baked white cut, zero extra requests, and impossible to drift out of sync.
<img src="/assets/prompt-artist-logo.png" alt="Prompt Artist" className="h-10 w-auto dark:brightness-0 dark:invert" />
Use the baked -light.png cut only where CSS can’t run — email clients, rasterized OG images, embeds, decks, and print.
Usage rules
Do
- Keep the mark pure black on light surfaces and pure white on dark ones.
- On the web, render the black cut once and invert it with dark:brightness-0 dark:invert.
- Leave clear space of at least half the wordmark’s cap height on every side.
- Use the wordmark first; reach for the monogram only when a square is required.
Don’t
- Never recolor the mark to the brand violet, cyan, or any gradient.
- Never stretch, rotate, outline, or add shadows and glows to the mark.
- Never place the black cut on a dark surface or the white cut on a light surface.
- Never set the monogram as body text or pair it beside the wordmark.
